Our business is mostly done online, but we do have a large showroom about 60 miles from Chicago, in the heart of Illinois. This allows us to ship fast as we are strategically located in the center of the country, near major transportation hubs. No waiting weeks or even months to receive a guitar from overseas, most of our guitars are delivered in 2-5 business days to Continental US addresses. Our showroom is open by appointment only, so if you are in the area, please contact us and we can schedule a time for you to stop by and check out our selection of cool guitars! We also have a representative in Southern California.
Our Story
Guitars are fun. Really fun. They are fun to play, fun to shop for, and fun to own. Most guitar players are constantly searching for their next cool instrument and many people own lots of guitars, or lots and lots of guitars. The problem is that few of us have the money to sling around to buy every cool looking guitar that we find, which is where Rafferty Guitars® comes in. We make very cool, cutting edge or classically styled guitars that people can actually afford. Most of our guitars are under $300, and we are constantly bringing out new styles, colors and variations in small batches. The limited supply means that some models will sell out quickly, and we believe that this will help keep the residual value high, meaning that not only is your Rafferty Guitar a fun and beautiful instrument to own, but a unique and good investment as well. These guitars compare well to similar models that cost 2, 3, or 4 times as much.
Unless otherwise noted, our guitars are mahogany bodies, with maple necks, and rosewood fretboards, The pickups are proprietary designs of our overseas factory. The craftsmen that hand-build our guitars have many years of experience building guitars for several well-known brands.
